Happy Happy Birthday Preston!! I now have four teenage boys at home. We had a little gathering of family tonight for his birthday. Preston has wanted a Mac Mini for a couple of years and today he finally got it. He was very happy!!
Preston is such a joy to have as a child. We are all very lucky to have him in our family.
Today was also Mother's Day. I was woke-up to breakfast in bed made by the Birthday Boy, Preston and Collin. It was so yummy. Collin fried the bacon perfectly. They also cleaned up the kitchen after making the breakfast which was pretty impressive (if you know my kids, you'd understand)
Josh got me a very nice "mom" necklace.
William got me a gift certificate for a pedicure, made me a picture and wrote me a note about why he loves me. Sooo cute.
Justin took Kaylee to get me some roses and she wrote me a note that said that I'm her favorite mom :)
Justin got me some chocolate covered strawberries and a card. More about this card in a bit!!
My Father-in-law sent me a card. I read it during sacrament meeting. The card was so perfect but it was the note that he included inside that was so touching. I cried for a long time after reading it. It was very very touching and really made my day.
While making dinner Justin brought me in his card. When he handed it to me I didn't think it was possible for anyone to top the card and note I had gotten from my father-in-law but I was wrong. It's a personal thing but I AM going to post what he wrote because I do not EVER want to lose what was said. Posting it online means it will always be here :)
"Mom,
This card is so true. I've always remembered you trying to help me feel better and boost up my mood. You could always tell when there was something bothering me and right away you would want to talk me through it. You have always been so supportive of me in anything and everything I've wanted to do. You are always trying to find ways of making me happy and pleasing others and never yourself. You have been such an inspiration in how I want to raise my own children and live my life. You will always be my best friend and I will always want to be around you. So thank you Mom, for everything you have done this past 18 years of my life for me. I will never forget it. Happy Mother's Day Mom! I love you more than anything in the world [even Noel :)] - Love Justin"
Yes - Justin did say he loved me more than he loved Noel. My closest friends and my husband know how worried I've been but this card relieved so much fear that I've had. Of course I shouldn't have been worried... but..I'm a baby :)
What a wonderful Mother's Day. This has been the best Mother's Day I've ever had. I think things improve as your kids get older!!! I feel so lucky to be a mommy.

Happy Happy Easter!!!
With so many pictures to pick from this was so hard. Kaylee isn't in her beautiful Easter Dress in this picture but it is still my favorite because I love seeing how much love they have for each other. They melt my heart. We had Easter Dinner and egg hut at my cousins house. Of course my kids have always known that there isn't an Easter Bunny because Easter is about the Resurrection but they sure do love the egg hunt. Kaylee found four of the five "golden" eggs which had money in them. She seems to always find the golden eggs at Easter. Way to go Kaylee.

It's St. Patrick's Day!!!!
A Leprechaun visited our house this morning. He left lots of shamrocks throughout the house showing proof of where he left his "mess". From Green Milk, Green Pancakes, Gold Coins, Gold Chocolate Nuggets and Green Toilet Water...we had a lot of fun this morning. Kaylee loved it all. She really hopes to catch the Leprechaun next year. :)
I'm William's co-Room Mom so once he left for school I started working on his class room surprise. Green Scrambled Eggs and Green Ham. YUCK. Once I got to the school the other room mom and myself went wild on the room while the kids were at computer lab. Everything was turned upside down. We turned all of Mr Goodman's puppets and stuffed animals around. You name it, we probably did it. What a blast.
Here is what the room looked like when we left.
When William came home he was all smiles and had to tell me all about what the leprechaun's had done to his class room. He said it was the best school day ever.
Here is what William's teacher, Mr Goodman emailed me:
Oh, oh, oh, oh . . . WOW. The best we've ever had. Thank you so much for the sweet gift you left our classroom today. That was so much fun. The kids were in true belief mode! None of the kids said anything about it being you, so please keep it a secret. William said a few things about the pots at his house but it's all good, not too many kids heard or understood what he was saying. They were all too crazy to even stop and think about what he was saying. What a blast. I'm sure once you got started you couldn't stop. That was obvious. Holy cow. Was there anything you didn't touch? Ha, ha, ha. Seriously, thank you for making today such an adventure. All is well and back to normal.
It's so fun being part of creating memories for our kids. Love it!!

After having it on our list of "To Do" Family Home Evenings, we finally put together our 72 hour kits. It feels good to have that done.
I was able to get up and shower again today. I fixed my hair and everything. I had a few more things to get for our 72 hour kits so I knew that I had to go to Wal-Mart. But I'm paying the price for it now...I pushed myself too far and I'm back in bed.
When I got up this morning I knew my house would be a mess and I had expected it, but what I saw was NOT expected in the least. There was oatmeal all over my hardwood floor. Down the hall, on the stairs, in the kitchen, on the counters, on the kitchen table, on the coffee table, on the end tables.......EVERYWHERE. Once I started to inspect things a little better I see that there is cupcake pieces stuck to the pictures hanging on the walls, on my ceiling fan, in the plants, on my couches and in every corner of my living room.
WHAT THE HECK!!!!!
So I find out that last night Justin told Josh, Preston and William that he would pay $10 to the person that got their cupcake to explode the best. Josh won. Preston thought it would be fun to throw an open packet of oatmeal into the fan to see what it would do. Justin had also said he would pay $80 to the person willing to throw a bag of flour into the fan...No one did that one thank goodness.
They insisted that they cleaned it up the best they could and didn't understand why I was so upset. I'm still trying to calm down over it. A few people, mostly family posted on Facebook that I would look back on this and laugh but I'm almost sure that I won't...EVER.

After being in bed, flat on my back since Tuesday...I finally got up late this afternoon and took a shower. Right now I'm truly grateful for warm running water, it never felt so good.
It took everything out of me to take that shower but it felt so good. I sure wish my back would hurry and get better because I'm beyond bored and I'm sure I've over texted my friends because they have all stopped responding. Not that I blame them :)
I also hate that I can't keep up on my house. My boys are....well, BOYS and they don't do anything on their own. Mommy being laid up in bed means freedom to them. Kaylee is a constant tornado. She's my five boys in one when it comes to messes. She does try to clean up though...But her cleaning usually means a bigger mess. Got to love it. My parents...well, we won't go there, I'll just say that they are of NO HELP. Kimball, bless his heart. He LOVES a clean house but when he has to do it, the standards are a little relaxed :) He has been so great though to try and pick up every so often because I hear him out there doing thing, like the dishes. Sure do love him.
I also miss cooking. I can't believe I said that :) But I really do. I think the reason I miss cooking so much is because I'm starving for something besides soda and jelly belly jelly beans oh and I can't forget the popcorn that Kaylee made me!! hmmmm, what will I cook first?

I've been flat on my back all day because my back went out. Being that I can't get up and walk, I'm dependant on my family to feed me. This is what I ate all day today. Jelly Belly Jelly Beans. Got to love them but I can definitely say that I'm sick of them and I so need some real food. If I'm still flat on my back tomorrow, I'll have to call my friends to save me :)
Other interesting things that happened today - Kimball went to a meeting at Williams school and signed the last bit of paperwork to official withdraw him from Speech. He has tested above average in speech for children of his age and grade. I'm so proud of him because he has only been talking for the last three years. I love you Willabee!
Also, Cassidy responded to Josh's Prom request. She brought over four containers of Skittles. On a few of the Skittles were the letters to spell out "I would love to!" Way Way Cute and he actually did it in front of her because she was here visiting with me when he came home. She's so dang cute.

Late last night Josh decided that he was going to ask Cassidy to HER Prom which is in less than two weeks. March 19th. I told him that if he was going to ask her, he better do it very quick. So he did it this afternoon while she was at school.
He got a small kiddy pool, filled it with lots of candy, toys and a few other things and then covered it with two bags of playground sand.
The note was attached to a shovel that read "Cassidy, I'd dig it if you'd go to Prom with me!" In a notebook he covered up with sand he put a smiley face on one of the pages. He said that she would know it was from him if he did that!!
It was so cute. Of course I'm sure the mess it made inside the Forsyth's home wasn't as cute.

Miss Independent...I'm sorry I mean Miss Kaylee :)
Kaylee loves helping in the kitchen. I use to give her little things to do but she pushes to do more and more. Today she insisted on cracking the eggs herself and whipping them up. I'm impressed that she didn't get any shells in the bowl. She's a pro!! I love my Kaylee

It's probably wrong of me to do this but oh what the heck :) This is Preston in the Dentist chair looking like a drunk.
Getting Preston to go to the Dentist is the hardest thing for us to do. He hates hates hates it. But I gave him no choice a couple of weeks ago and found that he had three cavities. They scheduled him two appointments to get the three fillings. Last week we went in and oh boy the world almost came to an end because they tried to give him laughing gas. He was having NOTHING to do with the gas, or the dentist. So we agreed that it was best to have Preston put to sleep to have his dental work done.
So today was the day. Kimball came with me to help hold Preston down when they gave him the shot. It took Kimball and the dentist to hold him down and once it hit his system he was OUT.
I took a video of him coming out of the anesthesia. But I promised not to share it....too embarrassing for him. But our family has laughed all day watching it.

Strange picture, right? But I'm so excited about this wall patch. There have been two holes above the three pictures in the hallway for almost two years. The holes happened when one of the kids tried to use the rod that went above the pictures as a pull-up bar. Boys :)
Anyhow I've waited for these holes to be patched for much too long. Well my sweet Kimball has been on a two day fix-it spree and it's been so wonderful. So now the holes have been patched and all it needs is for me to paint them. I hope that doesn't take another two years :)
Today I got to spend the afternoon with a good friend. It was wonderful. A much needed girls day out. We went to Rod Works where I found the an item to give me inspiration for my laundry room. I really want that room done. After Rod Works we went for Lunch and then to see the movie "Just Go With It". Sooo funny. Thanks Tracie for a great day.
Before I close for tonight I want to share a picture I lifted off a friends blog.
This is Josh and Cassidy. They are so dang cute!! Josh and Cassidy went out on their first date last night and her mom took this picture for her "Picture of the day" (she was my inspiration for doing this picture of the day thing!!!) I have wished for this day to come for several years....long before they were old enough to even think about dating. I've always thought that she was so cute and just had to date one of my boys :) I think they "match" and "fit", if that makes sense. If not, that's ok, it makes sense to me!!!

This is Kaylee on a timeout and it was the funniest thing ever.
Kaylee's room is a mess, a bad bad mess. Kimball told her that she needed to pick up at least FIVE things because she is FIVE years old. She said ok. A few minutes later she came upstairs and said to Kimball "I think I'll just take a timeout instead. I'm really not in the mood for cleaning." Kimball told her to go and talk to me about this. She went and got her iPhone and came to me and repeated to me what she had said to Kimball. She was ready for her "Time Out". She was going to sit down and play a game. Ha Ha
I informed her that it would be much easier to just clean up her five items in her room but she insisted on the timeout instead. So I took the iPhone from her hands, turned her around, raised her arms and faced her into the wall. This caused the world to end :)
Here are Kaylee's words (read the words with a dramatic, chocking sound between each word)
I...don't...like...this...kind...of...timeout...This...is...breaking...my...heart...I...just...want...a...normal...timeout...Why...are...you...breaking...my...heart... and...arms?...I'm...dying...here...can't...you...see... Now...my...head...is...going...to...fall...off...because...this...is...giving... me...a...headache.
This went on for much too long. Finally though, she went down to her room and cleaned up MORE than five things. After that she said "All that crying has made me tired, I think I should take a nap" and she got on my bed and fell right to sleep.
I love my Kaylee!!
p.s. Seeing how bad my pictures are, I've decided that I'm not just going to buy a camera, I'm going to actively look for a Photography class to take. Anyone want to join with me?

Pigtails Bring Me Joy
Pigtails bring me joy for several reasons...Kaylee hasn't cut her hair in a long time so it's growing nice and long...The weather is improving and the pigtails make me think of Spring and Summertime and the number one reason that pigtails bring me joy is that they mean I have a little girl. I love having a daughter. I love you Kaylee!!
