Happy Happy Birthday Preston!! I now have four teenage boys at home. We had a little gathering of family tonight for his birthday. Preston has wanted a Mac Mini for a couple of years and today he finally got it. He was very happy!!
Preston is such a joy to have as a child. We are all very lucky to have him in our family.
Today was also Mother's Day. I was woke-up to breakfast in bed made by the Birthday Boy, Preston and Collin. It was so yummy. Collin fried the bacon perfectly. They also cleaned up the kitchen after making the breakfast which was pretty impressive (if you know my kids, you'd understand)
Josh got me a very nice "mom" necklace.
William got me a gift certificate for a pedicure, made me a picture and wrote me a note about why he loves me. Sooo cute.
Justin took Kaylee to get me some roses and she wrote me a note that said that I'm her favorite mom :)
Justin got me some chocolate covered strawberries and a card. More about this card in a bit!!
My Father-in-law sent me a card. I read it during sacrament meeting. The card was so perfect but it was the note that he included inside that was so touching. I cried for a long time after reading it. It was very very touching and really made my day.
While making dinner Justin brought me in his card. When he handed it to me I didn't think it was possible for anyone to top the card and note I had gotten from my father-in-law but I was wrong. It's a personal thing but I AM going to post what he wrote because I do not EVER want to lose what was said. Posting it online means it will always be here :)
"Mom,
This card is so true. I've always remembered you trying to help me feel better and boost up my mood. You could always tell when there was something bothering me and right away you would want to talk me through it. You have always been so supportive of me in anything and everything I've wanted to do. You are always trying to find ways of making me happy and pleasing others and never yourself. You have been such an inspiration in how I want to raise my own children and live my life. You will always be my best friend and I will always want to be around you. So thank you Mom, for everything you have done this past 18 years of my life for me. I will never forget it. Happy Mother's Day Mom! I love you more than anything in the world [even Noel :)] - Love Justin"
Yes - Justin did say he loved me more than he loved Noel. My closest friends and my husband know how worried I've been but this card relieved so much fear that I've had. Of course I shouldn't have been worried... but..I'm a baby :)
What a wonderful Mother's Day. This has been the best Mother's Day I've ever had. I think things improve as your kids get older!!! I feel so lucky to be a mommy.

Josh has finally decided that he will head off to school this August. He's going to SUU, which is Southern Utah University. These papers are the last that SUU need to get him enrolled. At least I sure hope so :)
I still can't believe that my little (not so little) Josh is graduating and heading off to college in no time at all.

Happy 19th Anniversary to my sweet husband.
Our waiters brought us this yummy cake and sung "Happy Anniversary" to us. What an enjoyable evening.
Today is also Josh's birthday. Happy Happy Birthday Josh. I'm so glad to have you in our family.

After having it on our list of "To Do" Family Home Evenings, we finally put together our 72 hour kits. It feels good to have that done.
I was able to get up and shower again today. I fixed my hair and everything. I had a few more things to get for our 72 hour kits so I knew that I had to go to Wal-Mart. But I'm paying the price for it now...I pushed myself too far and I'm back in bed.
When I got up this morning I knew my house would be a mess and I had expected it, but what I saw was NOT expected in the least. There was oatmeal all over my hardwood floor. Down the hall, on the stairs, in the kitchen, on the counters, on the kitchen table, on the coffee table, on the end tables.......EVERYWHERE. Once I started to inspect things a little better I see that there is cupcake pieces stuck to the pictures hanging on the walls, on my ceiling fan, in the plants, on my couches and in every corner of my living room.
WHAT THE HECK!!!!!
So I find out that last night Justin told Josh, Preston and William that he would pay $10 to the person that got their cupcake to explode the best. Josh won. Preston thought it would be fun to throw an open packet of oatmeal into the fan to see what it would do. Justin had also said he would pay $80 to the person willing to throw a bag of flour into the fan...No one did that one thank goodness.
They insisted that they cleaned it up the best they could and didn't understand why I was so upset. I'm still trying to calm down over it. A few people, mostly family posted on Facebook that I would look back on this and laugh but I'm almost sure that I won't...EVER.

I've been flat on my back all day because my back went out. Being that I can't get up and walk, I'm dependant on my family to feed me. This is what I ate all day today. Jelly Belly Jelly Beans. Got to love them but I can definitely say that I'm sick of them and I so need some real food. If I'm still flat on my back tomorrow, I'll have to call my friends to save me :)
Other interesting things that happened today - Kimball went to a meeting at Williams school and signed the last bit of paperwork to official withdraw him from Speech. He has tested above average in speech for children of his age and grade. I'm so proud of him because he has only been talking for the last three years. I love you Willabee!
Also, Cassidy responded to Josh's Prom request. She brought over four containers of Skittles. On a few of the Skittles were the letters to spell out "I would love to!" Way Way Cute and he actually did it in front of her because she was here visiting with me when he came home. She's so dang cute.

Late last night Josh decided that he was going to ask Cassidy to HER Prom which is in less than two weeks. March 19th. I told him that if he was going to ask her, he better do it very quick. So he did it this afternoon while she was at school.
He got a small kiddy pool, filled it with lots of candy, toys and a few other things and then covered it with two bags of playground sand.
The note was attached to a shovel that read "Cassidy, I'd dig it if you'd go to Prom with me!" In a notebook he covered up with sand he put a smiley face on one of the pages. He said that she would know it was from him if he did that!!
It was so cute. Of course I'm sure the mess it made inside the Forsyth's home wasn't as cute.

Strange picture, right? But I'm so excited about this wall patch. There have been two holes above the three pictures in the hallway for almost two years. The holes happened when one of the kids tried to use the rod that went above the pictures as a pull-up bar. Boys :)
Anyhow I've waited for these holes to be patched for much too long. Well my sweet Kimball has been on a two day fix-it spree and it's been so wonderful. So now the holes have been patched and all it needs is for me to paint them. I hope that doesn't take another two years :)
Today I got to spend the afternoon with a good friend. It was wonderful. A much needed girls day out. We went to Rod Works where I found the an item to give me inspiration for my laundry room. I really want that room done. After Rod Works we went for Lunch and then to see the movie "Just Go With It". Sooo funny. Thanks Tracie for a great day.
Before I close for tonight I want to share a picture I lifted off a friends blog.
This is Josh and Cassidy. They are so dang cute!! Josh and Cassidy went out on their first date last night and her mom took this picture for her "Picture of the day" (she was my inspiration for doing this picture of the day thing!!!) I have wished for this day to come for several years....long before they were old enough to even think about dating. I've always thought that she was so cute and just had to date one of my boys :) I think they "match" and "fit", if that makes sense. If not, that's ok, it makes sense to me!!!
