Happy Happy Birthday Preston!! I now have four teenage boys at home. We had a little gathering of family tonight for his birthday. Preston has wanted a Mac Mini for a couple of years and today he finally got it. He was very happy!!

Preston is such a joy to have as a child. We are all very lucky to have him in our family.

Today was also Mother's Day. I was woke-up to breakfast in bed made by the Birthday Boy, Preston and Collin. It was so yummy. Collin fried the bacon perfectly. They also cleaned up the kitchen after making the breakfast which was pretty impressive (if you know my kids, you'd understand)

Josh got me a very nice "mom" necklace.

William got me a gift certificate for a pedicure, made me a picture and wrote me a note about why he loves me. Sooo cute.

Justin took Kaylee to get me some roses and she wrote me a note that said that I'm her favorite mom :)

Justin got me some chocolate covered strawberries and a card. More about this card in a bit!!

My Father-in-law sent me a card. I read it during sacrament meeting. The card was so perfect but it was the note that he included inside that was so touching. I cried for a long time after reading it. It was very very touching and really made my day.

While making dinner Justin brought me in his card. When he handed it to me I didn't think it was possible for anyone to top the card and note I had gotten from my father-in-law but I was wrong. It's a personal thing but I AM going to post what he wrote because I do not EVER want to lose what was said. Posting it online means it will always be here :)

"Mom,
This card is so true. I've always remembered you trying to help me feel better and boost up my mood. You could always tell when there was something bothering me and right away you would want to talk me through it. You have always been so supportive of me in anything and everything I've wanted to do. You are always trying to find ways of making me happy and pleasing others and never yourself. You have been such an inspiration in how I want to raise my own children and live my life. You will always be my best friend and I will always want to be around you. So thank you Mom, for everything you have done this past 18 years of my life for me. I will never forget it. Happy Mother's Day Mom! I love you more than anything in the world [even Noel :)] - Love Justin"

Yes - Justin did say he loved me more than he loved Noel. My closest friends and my husband know how worried I've been but this card relieved so much fear that I've had. Of course I shouldn't have been worried... but..I'm a baby :)

What a wonderful Mother's Day. This has been the best Mother's Day I've ever had. I think things improve as your kids get older!!! I feel so lucky to be a mommy.

Happy Happy Easter!!!

With so many pictures to pick from this was so hard. Kaylee isn't in her beautiful Easter Dress in this picture but it is still my favorite because I love seeing how much love they have for each other. They melt my heart.

We had Easter Dinner and egg hut at my cousins house. Of course my kids have always known that there isn't an Easter Bunny because Easter is about the Resurrection but they sure do love the egg hunt. Kaylee found four of the five "golden" eggs which had money in them. She seems to always find the golden eggs at Easter. Way to go Kaylee.

Kaylee is sure on a roll this week :) I came out of my room this morning to find Kaylee in the Kitchen dying Easter eggs, all by herself!!! Of course the eggs have yet to be boiled and when I tried to explain this to her she said "But if we boil them they won't splatter when I throw them at my brothers." Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I love you Kaylee!!

It's St. Patrick's Day!!!!

A Leprechaun visited our house this morning.  He left lots of shamrocks throughout the house showing proof of where he left his "mess".   From Green Milk, Green Pancakes, Gold Coins, Gold Chocolate Nuggets and Green Toilet Water...we had a lot of fun this morning.  Kaylee loved it all.  She really hopes to catch the Leprechaun next year.  :)

I'm William's co-Room Mom so once he left for school I started working on his class room surprise.  Green Scrambled Eggs and Green Ham.  YUCK.  Once I got to the school the other room mom and myself went wild on the room while the kids were at computer lab.  Everything was turned upside down.  We turned all of Mr Goodman's puppets and stuffed animals around.  You name it, we probably did it.  What a blast.

Here is what the room looked like when we left.

When William came home he was all smiles and had to tell me all about what the leprechaun's had done to his class room.  He said it was the best school day ever.

Here is what William's teacher, Mr Goodman emailed me:
Oh, oh, oh, oh . . . WOW. The best we've ever had. Thank you so much for the sweet gift you left our classroom today. That was so much fun. The kids were in true belief mode! None of the kids said anything about it being you, so please keep it a secret. William said a few things about the pots at his house but it's all good, not too many kids heard or understood what he was saying. They were all too crazy to even stop and think about what he was saying. What a blast. I'm sure once you got started you couldn't stop. That was obvious. Holy cow. Was there anything you didn't touch? Ha, ha, ha. Seriously, thank you for making today such an adventure. All is well and back to normal.

It's so fun being part of creating memories for our kids. Love it!!

I was going to try and use Photoshop to create an image out of these two images but that didn't work. I'm horrible at picture and even worse with Photoshop. But with time......you never know :)

Anyhow, I have never put anything out for St. Patrick's day but Kaylee kept telling me that I had to so I did. I took out the glass jars and put green and white candy in them. The pictures do not give them justices, they really are cute. And they were fun putting together.
